Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what personal information PanthR collects, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Effective: August 20, 2026 Last updated: August 20, 2026

1. Overview

PanthR (“PanthR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes our practices for personal information processed when you use our websites, apps, and related services (the “Platform”).

By using the Platform, you acknowledge this Policy. Where consent is required by law for a specific processing activity, we will request it. Our Terms of Service govern use of the Platform; this Policy focuses on personal data.

2. Who we are

PanthR is the controller of personal information collected through the Platform, unless a product-specific notice identifies another controller (for example, a corporate fleet customer acting as an employer). Processors and service providers act on our instructions.

Privacy inquiries: support@thepanthr.com.

3. Information we collect

We collect information in the following categories:

Account & profile. Name, email, phone number, password or SSO identifiers, profile photo, preferred language and currency, role selections, and communications preferences.

Identity & verification. Government ID details, driver’s license data, selfies or biometric templates used solely for identity matching where enabled, vehicle registration and insurance documents, company registration details for fleet operators, and outcomes of background or safety checks performed by us or vendors.

Trip, rental & fleet activity. Pickup and drop-off points, routes, timestamps, fare negotiations and agreements, ratings and reviews, chat messages related to a booking, rental periods, mileage and condition reports, incident reports, and operational logs for fleet tools.

Device & usage. IP address, device identifiers, OS and app version, browser type, crash logs, performance diagnostics, referral source, and interaction events needed to operate and secure the Platform.

Payment & payout. Tokenized payment method details, mobile money identifiers, wallet addresses for crypto where used, transaction amounts, refunds, chargebacks, ledger balances, and tax-relevant payout records. Full card numbers are handled by payment processors; we typically receive limited tokens and status metadata.

Information from others. Referral data, emergency contacts you designate, insurance or verification partners, publicly available records where lawful, and information other users provide about a trip or rental involving you.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Create and manage accounts, roles, and authentication
  • Match users, enable negotiations, bookings, tracking, and support
  • Verify identity, licenses, vehicles, and eligibility for driver or owner features
  • Process payments, deposits, escrow releases, payouts, and fraud controls
  • Provide safety features (trip sharing, incident handling, emergency workflows)
  • Communicate service updates, receipts, and—where permitted—product news
  • Analyze usage to improve reliability, UX, pricing tools, and marketplace health
  • Enforce Terms, investigate disputes, and comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may use aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you for analytics, research, and reporting.

6. How we share information

We share information only as needed for the purposes above:

  • With other users as required to complete a trip, rental, or owner–driver engagement (e.g., name, photo, vehicle details, approximate or live location during an active service, ratings)
  • With payment processors, KYC/AML vendors, mapping providers, cloud hosts, analytics, and customer-support tools under contractual safeguards
  • With insurers, claims handlers, or roadside partners when you opt in or when needed to administer a covered incident
  • With corporate or fleet administrators if your account is linked to an organization
  • With authorities when required by law or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect safety, rights, or the integrity of the Platform
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections

7. Location data

Location is central to mobility services. With your permission (or as otherwise allowed by law and device settings), we collect precise or approximate location to match trips, show ETAs, support navigation features, enable live trip sharing, monitor active rentals or fleet shifts, and detect fraud or safety issues.

You can control location permissions in your device settings. Disabling location may limit or prevent core features. Background collection, when enabled for drivers or active trips/rentals, is used only for those operational purposes and stops when the relevant session ends, subject to short retention for dispute and safety review.

8. Payments & financial data

Payment partners process sensitive financial credentials under their own policies and PCI or equivalent standards. We store transaction records, payout ledgers, and limited payment metadata needed for receipts, accounting, chargeback defense, and compliance. Crypto transactions may be visible on public blockchains; we cannot alter that public record.

9. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Platform, meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type (for example, trip records and financial ledgers are typically kept longer than ephemeral device logs). When no longer required, we delete or de-identify data in line with our retention schedules.

10. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, monitoring, and vendor due diligence. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure; you should protect your credentials and notify us of suspected compromise promptly.

11. Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

You can update many profile details in-app. For other requests, email support@thepanthr.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request and may decline requests that are unlawful, frivolous, or would impair the rights of others or our ability to defend legal claims.

Marketing communications include unsubscribe mechanisms. Transactional messages about bookings, security, and account status are not optional while you maintain an account.

12. Children

The Platform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. International transfers

PanthR may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers (such as contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms) to protect your information.

14. Cookies & similar technologies

We and our partners use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, and secure the Platform. You can control cookies through browser settings; blocking some cookies may degrade functionality. Where required, we will present a consent banner or preference center.

15. Changes

We may update this Policy periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material updates may also be communicated through the Platform or email. Continued use after the effective date means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
